Dining on a luxurious cruise under the night sky can be a memorable experience and if it’s along the Dubai Marina, it can be truly magical. What can enhance this experience further is the option of going on a Dhow Dinner Cruise. You can enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal of continental or international dishes under the night sky as you cruise through the canal and relax with a glass of chilled juice or soft drink. Ski Dubai, the Middle East’s biggest indoor ski resort and the world’s first indoor black diamond run. While unexpected in the middle of the desert, it’s just par for the course when it comes to all the astonishing things you’ll find in Dubai. This amazing venue houses five ski slopes of different steepness and difficulty, a sled and toboggan run, an ice cave and a live penguin zone (we’re not kidding – King and Gentoo penguins periodically roam the slopes — away from skiers, of course). Even if you’ve never skied or snowboarded before, Ski Dubai offers lessons for rookies and beginners. At 828 metres high, the BurjKhalifa is currently the world’s tallest building, variously described as a “Vertical City” and “A Living Wonder”. Opened in 2010, the BurjKhalifa boasts two observation decks – one that sits on the 124th and 125th floors, and a second on the 148th floor – at an altitude of 555 metres it’s the world’s highest observation deck, and the view is understandably spectacular. And if the tower is not impressive enough, at it’s base lies the man-made BurjKhalifa lake, where the Dubai Fountains (similar to those outside the Bellagio in Las Vegas) perform their music, water and light show each night. It’s almost unbelievable that there is another 270 metres of building above you when you’re standing at ground level!
